Shellfish Instructor

The Shellfish Instructor oversees municipal shellfish propagation at the Shellfish Lab (Harwich’s upweller). Responsibilities include shellfish propagation, facility and equipment maintenance, supervision of seasonal interns and volunteers, water quality monitoring, and other natural resources duties.

Summary: The Shellfish Instructor oversees municipal shellfish propagation at the Shellfish Lab (Harwich’s upweller). Responsibilities include shellfish propagation, facility and equipment maintenance, supervision of seasonal interns and volunteers, water quality monitoring, and other natural resources duties. Position reports to the Natural Resources Director. Seasonal position, flexible hours. Experience/education: Shellfish propagation experience required. Bachelor’s degree in biology, marine biology or environmental sciences preferred.
